The Optical Imaging Group for Translational Medicine (OIG) of the department of health technology and informatics in the hong kong polytechnic university, Hong Kong, focuses on translational research to develop and propagate in vivo imaging technology for understanding, diagnosing and treating human diseases under supervision of Dr. Jung Sun Yoo. We aim to offer new solutions to change clinical practice using the power of light for better treatment in key areas including cancer, inflammation, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative disease.
OIG integrates highly interdisciplinary skills over physics, engineering, chemistry, biology and medicine to develop novel preclinical and clinical imaging technologies, multi-modality imaging methods, and creative imaging devices.
